The Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team at Medicare Cardiac & General Hospital organized a comprehensive training session on Cleaning, Disinfection, and Needle Stick Injury (NSI) Prevention to reinforce patient and healthcare worker safety. The session covered standard cleaning and disinfection protocols, proper waste segregation, safe handling and disposal of sharps, and immediate response procedures following needle stick injuries. Participants were educated on infection prevention practices and the importance of maintaining a safe healthcare environment. This educational initiative reflects MCGH’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality healthcare for patients, visitors, and staff.
